Bouncing back to Life

Meet straydog Chalaang from Tiruvannamalai! His name means 'leap', or 'bounce'. What an amazing transformation he went through within the past 6 weeks. He truly bounced back to life.

This previously neglected, parasite-infested, mange-infected, eye-infected, skinny / emaciated, limping and timid street dog blossomed and finally got his strength and beauty.

He is the perfect example to demonstrate how especially intestinal parasites not only prevent the absorption of nutrients and siphon lifeforce but also worsen every other infection.

His treatment included medicine for deworming, and then weekly medicine against the rather severe skin infection, accompanied by regular / reliable feeding.

Photos show Chalaang, before and after (5 weeks). The first time we treated him, we even forgot to take a photo as his condition was so bad. Today, he has full shiny fur, a healthy body weight and joyful spirit!

Now also his injured leg has a chance to properly heal.
